When does my baby need vaccinated?

From 8 weeks old babies in Northern Ireland are eligible for childhood immunisations.  The first vaccinations (at 8 weeks old) are administered by our Physician Associate in the Practice.  At this appointment your baby will receive a physical health check assessment by the GP.

From 12 weeks old, the Child Health Office are responsible for vaccinating your child.  You will receive an appointment in the post inviting you to attend the Practice for the immunisations.  The Child Health Nurses hold the immunisation clinic on a Thursday morning at the Practice.  If your child is unwell please contact the Practice and notification will be sent to the Child Health Office so that your childs immunisations can be rescheduled.
