Update on Shielding Advice

Glengormley Practice, known as GP,  is situated in the centre of Glengormley village. The practice currently serves a population of 8,600 patients and new patients may register at the Practice providing they live within a 10-mile radius. We hope this website will provide you with the information required to make the best possible use of the services provided by our Primary Health Care Team. Our doctors, nurses and all our other staff are dedicated to offering a professional service.

We trust the website will be a a source of information to you about our practice, the staff and the services we provide. The site can also be used as a resource for other health-related information. Please have a look around.   We welcome your thoughts and ideas to help us improve our communication/information and further develop the content of this site.

New arrangements exist during the current coronavirus lockdown.  You will not be able to register with Glengormley Practice if you already have a GP in the area.  This is regulation from the Business Services Organisation.

How to Register at the Practice

Call into the surgery any day after 12noon and the receptionist will assist you in completing the necessary forms.  Please bring with you:

  • Photographic ID
  • Proof of address

Please be prepared to give us a brief medical history and let us know if you are currently taking medication.  As it will take several weeks for us to receive your complete medical records we ask that you provide brief summary from your previous GP.

We will complete the registration process on the day and you will receive a medical card from Business Services Organisation in due course.

Registering a Newborn at the Practice

Following the registration of a newborn baby at the local Birth & Registry Office you will be issued with a yellow registration form.  Please bring this form to the surgery where we will register your baby for General Medical Services.
