Non NHS Services

Non-NHS Work

The Practice receives a large number of requests from solicitors, insurance companies, other third parties, and from patients requesting letters from the GP for a variety of purposes.

As this is outside of NHS clinical work, some of these requests incur a fee, payable to the Practice.  Please allow up to 28 days for your request to be processed.

Requesting Access to your Medical Records (Subject Access Request-SARS)

Under GDPR patients are entitled to access their medical records free of charge.  This can be helpful when preparing a Personal Independence Request, or for an appeal.  The Practice receives a large volume of these requests and once received will have 28 days to respond to your request.

Please do not contact the Practice to ascertain if your request is being processed/ or ready for collection as this takes up staff time.  We will contact you as soon as your request is complete.

I need a letter from my GP.

The Practice regularly receives request for the GP to write a letter for a patient in support of a particular issue, for example, housing support, jury service exemption etc.

If you wish to request a letter please call into the Practice to complete a request form.  There is a fee of £20 payable to the Practice.

Due to the volume of these requests please allow 21 working days for your request to be processed.

We ask that patients only request such a letter if it is necessary.

If the GP is not a position to complete your request, you will be contacted by our administration team.
