New Video Highlights Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Support Across the Northern Locality

The Northern Protect Life Implementation Group (NPLIG) is pleased to launch a new awareness video promoting mental health, emotional wellbeing and suicide prevention support services available across the Northern locality.

Developed as part of NPLIG's commitment to the Protect Life 2 Suicide Prevention Strategy, the video aims to increase awareness of local and regional support services, encourage help-seeking behaviour, and ensure that individuals, families and communities know where to turn when support is needed.

The video highlights a range of services available to people experiencing emotional distress, mental health difficulties, suicidal thoughts, bereavement following suicide, or concerns about someone they care about. It also promotes Lifeline, Northern Ireland's free, confidential, 24-hour crisis response helpline.

NPLIG brings together statutory, community and voluntary sector organisations to strengthen collaboration, improve awareness, and support suicide prevention efforts throughout the Northern area. By working together, partners are committed to ensuring that support is visible, accessible and responsive to local needs.

We encourage everyone to watch and share the video to help raise awareness of the support available.
